AMD sent a notice to its partners that the company will raise the prices of its processors, effective December 3. The price increase will affect both the new Ryzen 9000 series and previous models, although the exact price increase will depend on the specific processor and region.

According to Overclock3D, this is not due to a shortage of memory or an upcoming price increase for the company's graphics cards. In other words, this is an internal move by AMD, whose motivation remains unclear.

Nevertheless, the price increase for processors will be most noticeable to the general public. AMD processors are far more popular than their graphics cards, so the impact will be felt by many more consumers. This is especially true for gaming variants; The Ruzhen 7 9800X3D, for example, is considered the best gaming chip currently available. It is now selling for 800-1000 leva.

There is a separate problem with AMD graphics cards. The increase in their price is indeed related to the shortage of memory on the market, but the manufacturer has not yet announced when exactly it will start raising the prices of its graphics processors.
