Samsung is preparing to introduce the Galaxy S26 flagship series early next year, which, according to the latest data, may receive a new wireless charging mode. Experts from the Android Authority portal have discovered a mention of a "super fast wireless charging" mode in the One UI 8.5 firmware code, which indicates the appearance of faster wireless charging in the new S26 models.

The previous generation Galaxy S25 only supported two wireless charging options: standard with a power of 5-10 watts and "fast" with a maximum speed of 15 watts. The new mode should provide charging up to 25 watts, which complies with the Qi 2.2 standard. This is a significant increase compared to previous models, which for a long time supported a maximum wireless charging speed of 15 watts.

According to preliminary information, the Galaxy S26 series smartphones will receive built-in magnets to support magnetic wireless charging, similar to Apple's MagSafe and Google Pixelsnap. At the same time, there is a possibility that the maximum speed of 25W will be available only for the Galaxy S26 Ultra model. The standard and Plus versions may be limited to 20W or remain at 15W, like their predecessors.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is also expected to get an upgrade in wired charging. According to the latest reports, the model will support 60W fast charging using the Super Fast Charging 3.0 branding. This will also be a significant step forward compared to previous Ultra devices, which supported a maximum of 45W charging.
